- We're getting married at Gulf Shores, Alabama- I have always wanted a beach wedding and I'm so excited! How fun will it be to have our families and friends hang out on the beach for a week?
- I'm going wedding dress shopping this Saturday! I have put this off because I wanted to make sure I was actually having a beach wedding before I bought a dress.
- My to do list is a mile long right now. I'm having a hard time staying organized so I'm looking for any tips you married girls have.
- Also, I want ya'lls opinions on a big issue Gabe and I are facing right now. Joint bank accounts or separate? I have always assumed we would keep separate checking and have a joint savings. But I have had so many people tell me there's no way that will work! So whats a girl to do? I like my independence and I know Gabe does too. But is there something wrong with separate accounts?

My Opinion-
I'm in love. I know I say this all the time about products, but seriously this stuff is amazing! I love the self-heating thing. It feels wonderful. Plus, it exfoliates really well but doesn't irritate my skin. The little exfoliating beads are softer than most scrubs so I wasn't left all red afterwards. I followed it up with my night cream and woke up to super smooth and soft skin. I have seriously been touching my face all day! This is perfect for my winter skin blues. The only downfall, it cost like $18. That's a little steep for a drugstore brand, but you actually get quite a bit of product so I think it's worth it. 5 out of 5 stars! I would definitely buy it again.

Wedding dress shopping was my favorite!! And that was a smart idea to wait and make sure you were having a certain wedding theme.
In regards to bank accounts, the hubby and I have a joint savings account that most of our paycheck goes to. The money in that is used to pay the bills, groceries and any joint expenses (furniture for the house, etc). Then, we each have our own checking and savings as well so if I wanted to go on a shopping binge or if he wanted to go out for a night with the guys. We just find it easier. Plus, we are able to set it up with our places of employment that certain amounts of our checks will go into certain accounts. It works for us
There is nothing wrong with separate accounts, my hubby and I have been doing it for 3 years and it totally works. We each have our own checking and a joint checking. When we get paid, it goes into our checking. Then we transfer whatever bill money we need to into the joint checking and I pay the bills out of that. So we have our own money but we also have a joint account we can always transfer into. We have separate savings too but that doesn't matter to us.

We keep all joint accounts, which works for us, but not for everyone. A popular option I've heard is keeping one joint for bills and savings and separate for personal spending. Make sure that the division of bills are fair. If one person makes more they should contribute more towards the bills.

Adam and I have discussed the bank account thing, and I think we will do separate until we have kids (or around the time we start planning to have kids). Getting married is a lot in itself, so we just think it will be easier to not have to worry about combining bank accounts. You should definitely do what's best for you guys!
We have been together for sixteen years and we have a joint account that we pay everything out of....recently we opened seperate accounts for fun spending because when we moved we never could cash a small check when we needed to because our bank was 500 miles away.LOL
I kind of like it because I dont have him calling me at random times asking if he can buy something because I do the books. Still none of it is secret he can look at mine , I can see his...we just are that way.
I wanted to tell you that I went out and got the Olay stuff you blogged about right after reading it and I must agree wtih you I love it!!!!!!!
