Weekend re-cap + Design Inspiration

Oh Monday... you come to soon :( How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good. Relaxing and slow, just how I like it. Friday night Gabe and I did our usual cook dinner and watch tv thing. We have really become an old married couple lately. I blame the heat. Saturday morning we had a breakfast date at Panera, then we drove around for an hour or so looking at houses. This is one of our favorite activities because we honestly can't wait to buy a house. We love scoping out different neighborhoods and looking at different architecture. The rest of our Saturday was filled with catching up on some books and magazines for me and him looking at perspective duck hunting locations for this year. We rented The Last Song that night. It was ok. Not my favorite Nicholas Sparks movie. Sunday I went to a bridal show in Little Rock with my mom. That was a lot of fun and I finally feel like I'm getting in wedding planning mode. We have a few venues in mind that we are planning on checking out in person very soon. I'll keep ya'll posted on that!!
Today I have been running around like crazy once again getting stuff in order for the first day of school on Thursday. My LAST first day of school. One thing I will not miss about college is how many hoops you have to jump through at the beginning of each year to make sure you're in the right classes, make sure tuition is payed, and most recently for me, getting my internship secured. It's madness. And it doesn't help that it's 100 degrees outside so I'm dying of heat while walking across campus. Anyway enough of me complaining :)

I stumbled across this room online a few months ago. I love looking at it. Black and white is my favorite color scheme. How cute would this be for a guest room?

Hope ya'll are having a good Monday! We are having Gabe's little sister over for dinner tonight. She just moved in to her dorm last week at Hendrix College (a private school here in Conway) and we haven't gotten to see her yet. I think Gabe is still in shock that his youngest sister is starting college this year. :)
Have a good afternoon!

TGIF!

Happy Friday ladies! This week flew by for me since I was super busy. Gabe made it home from Boston last night and I have spent my day running around like crazy trying to get some things done before school starts next week. So for my internship this fall I will be substitute teaching. I'm nervous!! Luckily I will be at my step-mom's school (she is the Principal at one of the 5th and 6th grade schools) so that makes me feel a little more comfortable.

The UPS man paid me another visit this week. This time he brought me my recent order of clothes from Victoria Secret! Last week they had free shipping for a day and I had a few reward cards I needed to use before they expired so I stocked up on some back to school items.

Silk and Cashmere Dot Cardigan. $78. Cant wait to pair this with jeans and heels or my black pencil skirt.

V-neck Tunic. 2/$30. I bought this cotton tunic in purple shock and cobblestone. They are perfect paired with black leggings and ballet flats for my long days spent in class. I like to be comfortable and still look cute on school days.

Ruffle front shirt $38. I bought this in black to wear for work. It's so cute, I think I need it in every color!

I thought I did pretty well for myself! :) No major plans here this weekend. I think I'm going to a bridal show with my mom on Sunday to scope out venues and watch the fashion show. I'm pretty excited about that! I'm also hoping to see Eat Pray Love this weekend. I read to book last year and LOVED it. Any big plans for ya'll this weekend? Have fun!

Cheap Thrills

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a fabulous hump day. I just left the hair salon with fresh highlights so I'm in a wonderful mood and feeling a little more like myself. The darker hair was nice for a few months, but I always go back to blonde. It just feels right.

Not much going on here today. I'm just going to leave you with these two cute items I found at Ruche.com today:

LOVE this one shoulder dress. $42.99 Not many sizes left!

I really need this brown ruffle skirt. Especially since it's only $38.99 It's currently sold out though which makes this girl very sad :(
Have a great afternoon!

Thank You Mr. UPS Man!

You can all breath a sigh of relief... my Razorback football tickets were delivered today :)

Like any good southern girl, I love football. SEC football preferably. And as all good southern girls know, we dress for games. Now that my tickets are here it's time to start concentrating on my game day wardrobe. I shall save that post for another day though. (sorry!)

This week I'm a working girl. I haven't had a job in two years because my school workload has been so tough. I'm working for my mom's friend (a travel agent) covering her office while she is out of town this week. I have actually really missed working so this week is fun for me. Having my own office and feeling important :) I really can't wait for graduation now! My last first day of school is next week!! That seems crazy to me.

Anyway, I hope ya'll had a good Monday!

New Dishes!

I am absolutely LOVING these new dishes that Gabe's parents got me for my birthday from Pier One. They're from the Sanctuary collection and so beautiful! I just keep opening my cabinets and looking at them :) Isn't it funny how when you get older things like dishes become exciting birthday gifts? Haha
I'm dying to have this mirror from Pier One for my living room right now. In person it has more of a bronze color. I think it would look great in my living room. I'm working next week while Gabe is on a business trip in Boston so I might use some of my paycheck for this!
Hope ya'll are having a good Wednesday! I have two more tests to go until I get a whole week and half off school! :) Oh and I get my ring back tomorrow afternoon! I had a dream last night I lost it and when I woke up and didn't see it on my finger I started to panic! It took me a few minutes to realize that it was just at the jeweler's and not lost. I felt pretty silly after that. :)
